Reclaimed Water Now Available to all Duck Key Residents

Reclaimed water is now available to all Duck Key residents. This is water that has been reclaimed from the treatment of waste water at the Duck Key water treatment plant. Reclaimed water is fine for watering plants, washing you home, cars and boats but should not be used as drinking water even though it is clean enough to do so. This reclaimed water costs less than potable water that your home already gets, plus you do not get billed for the water being treated by the wastewater plant. This is a good saving for customers that do a lot of watering or outside cleaning.  

In order to receive reclaimed water, you must fill out an application which is posted under documents to the left and then have a meter installed at your house. The process is well explained in the brochure with the application.
