Responsibilities
The purpose of the Code Compliance Department is to promote, protect, and improve the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Monroe County and the environment by providing equitable, expeditious, and effective enforcement of all County Codes while establishing a working partnership with Monroe County neighborhoods.

Vacation Rental Program
Special vacation rental means a dwelling unit that is rented, leased, or assigned for tenancies of less than a 28-day duration.
To report an illegal vacation or rental property, call the Monroe County Tax Collector's Transient Rental Fraud Hotline at 1-855-422-4540. All callers will remain completely anonymous.
