Duck Key's Residents Make a Difference at Island Clean Up in Support of Worldwide Earth Day Events

A sincere thank you goes out to the 29 energetic volunteers who participated in the island wide clean up this past Saturday morning. Street assignments were made and water and garbage bags were distributed at Club Duck Key. Each group received two bags; one for actual garbage and the other for recycle materials. We were able to dispose of the multiple bags of garbage and larger abandoned items that were collected thanks to the generosity of John and Donna Schwartz, who donated dumpster space. Recyclable materials were taken home and put in our individual blue totes. Our island looks even more beautiful today than yesterday. All participants were proud of their hard work which was in conjunction with worldwide Earth Day events.
