We have an exciting season planned for you! Good news — most of our events this year are on the weekends, as requested.
Here’s a quick fishing tip. How do you stop a fish from smelling? Cut off its nose. LOL. Back to business...
NOVEMBER CLUB MEETING
The season's first meeting is on Saturday, November 4th, at 5 p.m. at the Casey’s home at 261 W Seaview Drive. This is an outdoor event on the patio (weather permitting) Tacos, burritos, enchiladas, nachos, and tequila are on the menu. Cost $25pp.
MEAL COST
After reviewing the financial condition of the club and expenses, there are a few changes we must make. The cost for each general meeting has increased to $25pp to cover food costs, rental equipment, and supplies. We don’t accept credit cards, so please continue to bring cash or a check. Please RSVP promptly so we have an accurate food count.
ANNUAL DUES
The annual dues for 2024 are increasing to $200 per family. Invoices will be sent on December 1st via email.
Checks can be mailed now to 308 Pinetree Street, Duck Key, FL 33050, payable to Duck Key Fishing Club.
We have a long waitlist of Duck Key residents desiring to join the club. We have capped our membership at 88 families (176 people) due to space limitations, which is why the waitlist exists.
If club dues are not paid by January 1st, we will assume you are not renewing your membership. Space will immediately open for potential waiting list members to apply if your dues are unpaid.
Please be sure your dues are paid before January 1st.

WEBSITE & FACEBOOK PRIVATE GROUP PAGE
Kudos to Kim Womble, who has been at the helm coordinating the project. We will be unveiling your new pages in December. On the website, you can check meeting dates quickly and patronize businesses who support us. The Facebook private page allows members to communicate and share information privately, such as coordinating fishing trips, selling marine equipment, etc.

DUCK KEY CHRISTMAS BOAT PARADE
Heads up! The parade will take place on Friday, December 8th at dusk. Last year, the breakwater was too dark to navigate, so the route may differ.
Now’s the time to buy Christmas decorations for your boat. Join the fun and help make it a magical memory on the island. The raft-up on Lake Lucille at the end was a blast!
